A simple, rapid, sensitive and precise high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been developed for the estimation of Mycophenolate mofetil in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form. In this method RP-C18 column (250mmx4.6mm I.D and5μm particle size) with mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and 0.02M phosphate buffer in the ratio of 50:50 v/v in isocratic mode was used. The detection wavelength is 230 nm and the flow rate is 1 ml/min. In the range of 10-60 μg/ml, the linearity of Mycophenolate mofetil shows a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The proposed method was validated by determining sensitivity, accuracy, precision and system suitability parameters. The mobile phase selected for the method is simple, fast, accurate and precise and hence can be applied for routine quality control analysis of Mycophenolate mofetil in bulk and its pharmaceutical dosage form. The method was fully validated according to ICH guidelines.Keywords

A simple, sensitive and accurate spectrophotometric method has been developed for the estimation of mycophenolate mofetil in bulk and pharmaceutical formulation. The method is based on the formation of green colored chromogen with 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinone-hydrazonehydrochloride reagent in the presence of 0.03M ferric chloride and obeys beer's law in the range of 2-10 μg/mL exhibiting the maximum absorbance at 659 nm. The limit of detection and quantification were found to be 0.87 μg/mL and 2.66 μg/ mL respectively. The calibration curve demonstrated a linear relationship between the absorbance and concentration, with the correlation coefficient higher than 0.999. The regression equation of the curve is Y=0.082x-0.019. The method is fully validated according to ICH guidelines.Keywords

Piezoelectricity is a phenomenon in which applied mechanical stress produces a electrical polarization and reciprocally an applied electric field produces a mechanical strain. The piezoelectric micro accelerometers have wide applications in the field of auto mobiles, inertial navigation and bio medical instrumentation. A bulk - micro machined quad beam piezoelectric accelerometer is proposed, designed and analyzed. The main application of this proposed accelerometer is in Bio Medical field. The most important specifications for medical applications are amplitude range +/-5g. resolution 10 -3g, bandwidth d.c.-50 Hz, off axis sensitivity < 5%, dimensions < 2 mm x 2 mm× 2 mm, low drift and power consumption < 1mW. The accelerometer design employs a single silicon seismic mass suspended by four beams. The beams of the accelerometers use the bimorph structure with two PZT films of piezoelectric material and poly silicon as the supporting layer. As the mass moves relative to the anchor, the beams deflect causing the piezoelectric layers to deform and hence a charge is induced. .The amount of charge generated depends upon the piezoelectric properties of PZT material, and many dimensional design considerations. This design is proved to get very high sensitivity, good frequency response and low cross axis sensitivity.
The Z-Axis sensitivity is found to be 4.4X10-14 Col/m/sec2 and X-/Y Axis sensitivities are found to be1.4X10-14Col/m/sec2 with very low cross axis sensitivity.

Speaker identification is an important activity in the process of speaker diarization. We need to model the speaker by Gaussian mixture model (GMM) for speaker identification purpose. Large GMM is called as a Universal Background Model (UBM) which is adapted into each speaker model for speaker identification purpose. This paper focuses on speech clustering for speaker diarization. The speaker diarization includes the steps speech segmentation and the process of speech clustering. In speech segmentation, the features are extracted for each speech segment which is converted into Mel-Frequency-Cepstral-Coefficients (MFCC). Each speech segment is modeled by UBM adaptation. The relevant speech segments are grouped as speech clusters. This paper describes the speech segmentation, UBM adaptation, and speech clustering technique.Keywords

Thermally stimulated relaxation (TSR), employing thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) and thermally stimulated conductivity (TSC) as experimental techniques, in Polyacrylamide (PAA) have been studied; in the temperature range 300-480 K. Measurements of electrical conductivity (σ) at various temperatures, in the same temperature range have been made, in both as-grown and UV-irradiated PAA films; to elucidate the mechanism of charge transport in relation to the macromolecular relaxations in PAA. Two TSL and TSC glow curves with maxima at 375 and 475 K have been observed. The logσ vs 1/T plots showed two transition temperatures with changes in slopes; indicating the on-set of molecular motion in PAA. The TSL/TSC curves at 475 K are attributed to the α-relaxation near the glass transition temperature of the polymer. The β-relaxation is considered to be associated with the glow curve at 375 K. Analysis of TSL/TSC curves and electrical conductivity plots have been made and the results are correlated. The two endothermic peaks recorded by Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) are correlated with the TSL/TSC α and β-relaxations in Polyacrylamide.Keywords

The thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves of UV irradiated PAAm-PVA polyblend have been studied. The experimental glow curves show the presence of two peaks with glow peak temperatures at 373K and 479K. The values of activation energy and frequency factors are determined by employing computer simulation. Most of the TL glow curves obey non first order kinetics. The results obtained by using TL experimental technique are correlated with the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results. The increase in crystalline component with increase in PVA component in the blend has been confirmed by noting the formation of spherulites around an indenter mark on the blend, employing Optical microscopy.Keywords
